Sarasota Film Society
Independent cinema with two Sarasota-area locations screening films, classics, and hosting special events.
About
Sarasota Film Society runs two theaters across the region: Burns Court Cinemas in downtown Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch Cinemas in the north part of the county. The organization programs a mix of current releases and curated selections, including recurring screenings of classics like The Rocky Horror Picture Show. They also offer Virtual Cinema rentals for at-home viewing. If you're looking to host a private screening or event, the theaters are available for rental. Members get perks, and gift cards are available if you want to share the experience.
