Sarasota Art Museum sits in the heart of Sarasota and brings together visual art, food, and community gatherings. The museum hosts rotating exhibitions that span contemporary work and historical practice. Currently on view are Sol LeWitt's prints from his 40-year career and Molly Hatch's Amalgam, a collection of over 450 hand-painted earthenware plates. The museum also participates in Skyway, a triennial exhibition that celebrates regional creativity across Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties. On the Marcy & Michael Klein Plaza, Jazz Thursdays bring live music to the grounds on select evenings. The on-site bistro serves sandwiches, soups, specialty coffees, and desserts, with brunch on weekends. Museum members receive a discount at both the bistro and shop.
