Windy Meadows Pottery is a studio at the Morean Center for Clay in St. Petersburg, where each piece is hand-built without molds. The work includes clay cottages and candlehouses, sculptural vessels inspired by ancient forms, and paper clay porcelain bowls called Fragmenti. Every piece goes through individual construction, a second firing, and sometimes hand-painted details. Some designs take up to four days to complete. The studio uses personally developed colored stoneware and porcelain clay, and offers customization on cottages and candlehouses, including wall colors, roof textures, and signage. Earlier pieces have gained value as the studio's clay, glazes, and kiln methods have evolved over time.
