Watermelon Swim in Lutz is a family-owned swim school with over 40 years of experience teaching swimmers from birth through adulthood. The school runs classes year-round in an indoor, state-of-the-art facility and offers Water Babies, Parent-Tot, Learn to Swim, Age 7 and Up, Adult Swim Lessons, and one-on-one instruction for swimmers with disabilities. Water Babies classes are tuition-free with a single annual registration fee covering the whole family. All instructors complete at least 100 hours of training before teaching and hold lifeguard, water safety, CPR, and first aid certifications. The school maintains small class ratios and requires instructors to pursue continuing education through the United States Swim School Association.
