Vista Gardens is a volunteer-run nonprofit park in south Tampa dedicated to native plants and sustainable growing. The 2,000-gallon freshwater pond supports native aquatics, while the garden itself holds over 200 native plant species. The whole operation runs on solar power and well water, producing 3.5 tons of organic compost each year and raising seedlings for the raised garden beds throughout the property. The park hosts community tours and school visits, and you can pick up seed packets year-round through their online store.
