Tarpon Springs Historical Train Depot Museum

Historic railroad depot turned museum in Tarpon Springs, exploring the town's rail heritage and local history.

About

The Tarpon Springs Historical Train Depot Museum occupies a building over 100 years old at 160 East Tarpon Avenue. Once a working railroad station, it now serves as a museum operated by the Tarpon Springs Area Historical Society. The front rooms are restored to show what the station looked like during its operating days. Inside, exhibits cover the railroad's role in the town's growth, along with local education, health care, and institutions. Visitors can take guided tours or browse at their own pace. The museum also runs a History Hunt activity for both kids and adults, making it a way to explore Tarpon Springs' past while learning how the rails shaped the community. The building functions as an official Welcome Center for the city.
