Stiletto Catamarans builds trailerable sailing catamarans in North Venice, Florida. Each boat is constructed from honeycomb composite material used in aerospace applications, laminated and baked under vacuum pressure to create a hull that is significantly stronger and stiffer than traditional foam sandwich construction. The design includes integral floatation that keeps the boat afloat even if holed and filled with water. With a shallow 9-inch draft and kick-up rudders, these boats work in shallow coastal waters. A 27-foot model reaches racing speeds over 25 miles per hour and can accommodate 8 to 10 people for day sailing. Two people can rig the boat for sailing in just over an hour. The cabin includes a head, berths, galley, and sleeping tent. Built with polyurethane coating for low maintenance, Stiletto Catamarans offers a less expensive option than comparable 27-foot sailboats.
