Safety Harbor Art and Music Center, or SHAMc, is a nonprofit organization at the heart of Safety Harbor serving the Tampa Bay region with year-round programming in visual art and music. The center runs studio classes for youth, teens, and adults alongside recurring art events like open studio sessions, ceramics, mosaics, and weekly art salvage. Its performance space, the odditorium, hosts concerts throughout the season. SHAMc also operates summer camps, offers private tours of its complex and WhimZeyLand, and provides field trips and custom educational programs for schools. The Artery Boutique on-site sells handmade work by more than 50 local and national artists. The organization rounds out its offerings with guesthouse rentals and event space available for private use.
