Rise Coffee Co. & Nye's Cream Sandwiches operated in downtown Sarasota from 2020 to 2024 as a working café and training ground. The business, connected to nonprofit Inclusion Revolution, employed 35 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities while serving fresh coffee, ice cream, and food. During its three years, it provided job skills training, public speaking development, and self-advocacy instruction to more than 350 participants. The organization now pursues its mission of inclusive employment by partnering directly with other businesses rather than running its own storefront.
