Ra Bloch Cancer Survivor Park

Public park in Tampa honoring cancer survivors with bronze sculptures, walking paths, and educational plaques.

About

Ra Bloch Cancer Survivor Park is a public park in Tampa designed to honor those affected by cancer. The park features a sculpture of eight life-size bronze figures moving through a maze that represents the cancer treatment journey. Visitors walk paths lined with 14 bronze plaques; four offer inspirational messages while ten provide instructional guidance. A separate "Road to Recovery" section includes seven plaques that explain cancer and outline basic actions for overcoming the disease. This park is one of 24 similar spaces across the United States and Canada, each individually designed to fit its local community. The foundation that created the park also funded its construction and provides for its ongoing maintenance.
