Phoenix Glass Studio is a working glass studio in Tampa run by Susan Gott, who has spent 30 years in the medium. Gott holds an MFA in glass from Kent State and studied at several intensive programs including Pilchuck, Haystack, Arrowmont, and Penland. Her cast glass sculptures are held in museum collections across the country, from the St. Pete Museum of Art to the Alexander Brest Museum, and appear in corporate collections including Raymond James Financial and Disney. The studio operates a Hot Shop where you can try glassblowing one-on-one or join mini-workshops to learn the craft firsthand. The gift shop carries cast and blown glass pieces, including Spirit Weights and paperweights made on-site. Located on Knollwood Street in Tampa, it's a place to watch glass work happen and take home something made by hand.
