Palma Sola Botanical Park sits on ten acres in Bradenton that once housed the Manatee County Nursery. A grassroots group started the park in 1990, and the nonprofit foundation behind it has been stewarding the space since 1993. You'll find tropical fruit trees, bromeliads, plumeria, lotus, and other botanical specimens throughout the grounds. The park is free to enter and welcomes well-behaved pets. It also hosts classes and serves as a venue for events. Recently renovated deck, stairs, and ramp make the grounds more accessible to visitors.
