Monk's Steamer Bar has been a Gulf Gate fixture since 2001, when Matt and Gretchen opened the doors to what would become a straightforward seafood spot and neighborhood bar. You'll find oysters shucked fresh at the bar, along with snow crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, clams, and mussels. The place runs 16 TVs with the NHL package, so hockey games are always on. It's the kind of casual spot where locals settle in for a meal and a drink, a few minutes from Siesta Key Beach.
