Memories Lounge has been a Sarasota fixture since 1980, growing out of an expansion to North Trail Liquors. The lounge serves drinks at low cost, with a pool table for games and karaoke on select nights. Under the ownership of Jay Patel and family, the spot has raised over $45,000 for Satchel's Last Resort Animal Shelter. The lounge's mascot, Dakota, a cockapoo, reflects that community commitment.
