Florida Pro Wrestling, headquartered in Tampa and based at the HBE Complex in Bradenton, was founded in 1949 by Clarence 'Cowboy' Luttrall. The promotion became a member of the National Wrestling Alliance and held prestigious regional championships including the Florida Heavyweight Title and Southern Tag Team Title. Under Eddie Graham's leadership starting in 1971, the organization hosted the 'Superbowl of Wrestling' in 1978, which featured inter-promotional matches between NWA and WWWF stars. The promotion ceased operations in 1987. Today, fans can access remastered Championship Wrestling from Florida content through streaming, and merchandise is available through ShopWrestling.net.
