General Transco
Disabled veteran-owned manufacturer of the Pulsating Bubble Surfactometer, a precision instrument for measuring liquid surface tension.
About
General Transco is a Saint Petersburg-based disabled veteran-owned manufacturer specializing in the Pulsating Bubble Surfactometer, an instrument used to measure surface tension and surface pressure of liquids including pulmonary surfactant. The company designed and produces the PBS-C model, an upgraded version of the earlier PBS-B with improved accuracy and stability. The PBS-C operates via laptop control with plotting software compatible with Microsoft Excel and functions as an internet host with its own IP address. The instrument oscillates bubbles at adjustable rates from 0 to 40 cycles per minute and performs surface tension calculations 50 times per revolution, serving research and clinical laboratories across the region and beyond.
