The Florida Railroad Museum operates weekend train rides along a six-mile route between Parrish and Willow in Manatee County. You can ride the Willow Express for a 1.5-hour round trip, take a Locomotive Cab Ride if you're 18 or older, or book a Locomotive Rental for ages 21 and up. The museum also runs a Train Robbery Experience for families with kids as young as three, and offers a Willow Bar-B-Que Cookout evening ride that runs 2.5 hours. Trains use both open-air and air-conditioned cars. The Ticket Office, Gift Shop, and Model Railroad are open most Wednesdays through Sundays, though train rides operate weekends only. Annual memberships are available starting at $45.
