Farren Dakin Dairy is a family-operated dairy farm in Myakka City, located in rural Manatee County about 30 miles east of Tampa Bay. Since 1973, the farm has produced milk, cream, buttermilk, eggnog, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, and multiple varieties of cheese curds, all kosher certified. The farm offers guided tours where visitors walk through the milk parlor, storage facilities, pasteurization equipment, bottling line, and cheese-making operations. It's one of roughly 150 remaining dairy farms in Florida. On-site, Dakin Moofè café serves local ice cream and specialty milkshakes, while the farm market stocks fresh milk, ice cream, and other local products. The farm also runs summer camp programs for kids interested in agricultural life.
