Cirkel Artworks

Hand-sculpted polymer clay creatures and folk art sculptures by artist Craig Erlick, established 2008.

About

Cirkel Artworks creates hand-sculpted polymer clay pieces inspired by folk traditions and natural forms. Craig Erlick, a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia and Saint Leo University, established the studio in 2008 and works primarily in polymer clay. His Criggles are small creatures with glass eyes and colored details. The Criggle Reef collection features marine life sculptures; a portion of sales supports marine conservation through The Mote Marine Laboratory Aquarium and the Florida Reef Resilience Program. Spleks draw from Oaxacan folk art spirits, while Wackolopes blend polymer clay, industrial resin, and other materials inspired by folk fables. Cirkel Artworks is represented at Clay and Paper Gallery of Art in Dunedin, Baobab Tree Gallery and Studio in Bradenton, and Simple Gestures Gifts and Art in St. Augustine.
