Char O Lot Ranch is a 50-acre Appaloosa breeding and training facility in Myakka City, established in 1972 and located on its current property since 1977. The ranch breeds approximately 150 mares annually and offers show training in halter and performance disciplines, foal training, and year-round mare care. The operation specializes in halter, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, and all-around horses, with a history of producing Appaloosa Hall of Fame sires. The ranch exports horses to Europe and South America and is now run by the second generation of the Schembri family, who continue the breeding and training work across the ranch's extensive acreage in central Florida.
