Douglas Lichterman has been teaching guitar in St. Petersburg since 2007. He works with students ages 9 and up, from beginners through advanced players. Lessons cover rock, heavy metal, jazz, blues, folk, bluegrass, country, funk, R&B, reggae, and ska. You'll learn scales, melodies, chords, note names, guitar solos, and open tunings in private one-on-one sessions. He checks your guitar's condition at the start of each lesson to make sure it's in good shape for playing. Lichterman has co-authored two music instruction books.
